An Owlish Vurdalak
As you might have noticed, there are some owls sitting on top of the signs on the Vurdalak main page. Perhaps you were wondering, why owls?
No one knows exactly what the Vurda-Owls actually have to do with Vurdalak. All we know is that, even from the very beginning, they made their appearance on the Vurdalak website and Vurdalak business cards. A hidden message to Athena, the goddess of wisdom, who is often associated with the owl? No, probably not.
The owls themselves are funny critters with strong personalities. When not sleeping, they are very helpful, and when people can not seem to find their way through the chaotic nature of the Vurdalak webpages, they are always ready to help the would-be-websurfers find their way in and out of the digital Vurdalak material on the World Wide Web. They also lend advice to strangers when tickled.
Furthermore, they are filled up with a organic and very smelly hot gas, and have a tendency to combust spontaneously when people do not give them enough attention. Why this is the case, no one knows.
Actually, the Encyclopedia has not much to say about owls.
