A review

Twenty four hours ago, me and my fellow band members were still rocking out on the Passeerdersgracht 23 stage during the second edition of VurdaFest. Organising this event proved a bit of a troubled task, because the weather made it impossible to have an acoustic jam festival or recording session (of the kind we were planning to organise) on any outside location. Much credit for the semi-quasi smooth organisation is therefore for a great part due to and thanks to Rene Boer and the nice people of Squat-group Schijnheilig.

festivity took place at the Passeerdersgracht 23 (an old school building) and went surprisingly smooth. Once again we had a number of great musicians in our midst, as well as a bunch of great cooks which both added to the intimate atmosphere. The music lives on in the recordings we made of it, which are available from the Encyclopedia Vurdalakium and our soundclick page. The food has, by the time you read this, probably all been eaten or been disposed of in another way . But this is fine, since we would not advice  you to still want to eat food after it has started to decompose. If you are, however, really desperate about knowing what kinds of food there were or how it tasted, just send us a message at contact@thevurdalakshow.com

I think we succeeded in the goals we had set for ourselves, and I am  really looking forward to hosting the third edition of VurdaFest on the 26th of June. Which, of course, will be even bigger, better, etc. So for now, I’m just gonna lay back, listen to the recordings and enjoy.

See you next time!
