Vurdafest
For the last 2000 years, there has been a discussion. The theme of this discussion is the question: what is the most universal phenomenon of all phenomenon known to men? One of the three that has been named is: Music.
According to many people, music is one of the, if not the most, universal phenomenon known to men, even more universal then, Language or Mathematics. To prove this: if it just rained, and there are tiny droplets of water running down you roof, falling into a bucket, you cannot help but count the beat of the frequent ticking.
In our modern world however, music has changed. Of course we all listen to the great superstars of our age, and MP3 music and MTV have brought music to everyone's house, but hardly ever do we still take the chance to sing ourselves, and to sing with other people or strangers. And even continuously hitting a table in a musical fashion with a pencil is hardly ever appreciated. (Editor note: of course in most of these cases, people are completely right not appreciate this.) Hardly ever do you see a group of people dedicating themselves to the moment and the music, to join in the "festivity", so you will, that is music.
However, the time that humans could drown themselves in their natural ability of music-making and this touch with something bigger should not be left behind! This is where we ought to make some changes! After all making music is only human! Living without singing is like living without thinking or living without loving! We’re not just Animals, are we?! Therefore, VurdaFest is dedicated to this human thing called music.
To all come together, sing, dance and even eat some nice food.
So if you feel you’re missing out on something, come join us or enjoy us!
It will sure carry you through the hard times you are working for the big man, in the middle of the night behind your desk in your tiny cubicle at the office.
